Hi, my name is Pauline.
I am, and have been, experiencing the agenda of successive Governments to knowingly ensure that irrefutable documental evidence confirming my claim of unlawful discrimination in the workplace, against Queensland Health (QH), remains deeply buried.
In my case the ?inconvenient truth? which the Government has and still is assisting QH to bury is the existence of a letter dated 25 May 1998, in which the Director of Nursing, Ms KM, falsely claimed to me:
?Further to our previous conversation, I have made enquiries into your need of protective footwear whilst on duty due to your disabilities. The Department of Workplace Health and Safety have indicated to me that you are required to wear suitable protective footwear in a clinical work environment (I believe that means enclosed, non slip shoes). Can you please make arrangements to have shoes that comply with this requirement...If you can?t manage this, can you please inform me as soon as possible and I will need to seek advice and possibly refer the matter on.?
And the consequence of that letter; my resignation faxed to Ms KM on 23 June 1998, because the restriction had not been resolved:
?Because of my disabilities, I am unable to comply with a directive from my DoN to wear the type of footwear indicated to her by Workplace Health and Safety.?
QH are determined to never acknowledge the information contained in those letters, which they successfully withheld from an Anti-Discrimination investigation, and successfully concealed during subsequent investigations into the integrity of the discrimination investigation.
The inconvenient truth QH have never acknowledged because of the protection received by the ADCQ, the Qld Ombudsman, the CMC, the Public Service Commissioner is the fact that my boss, Ms LC, encouraged her boss, Ms KM, to place a restriction of my required footwear.
The utmost inconvenient and protected truth is the undeniable fact that Ms KM definitely had not been authorised by the Department of WPHS to restrict my required footwear, as claimed to me in her letter dated 25 May 1998, and had chosen to process my resignation in the full knowledge it was based upon her lie.
On 8 July 2014 I submitted a Public Interest Disclosure to the then Deputy Premier, Mr J Seeney, regarding the full protection provided to Queensland Health from having to account for Ms KM?s erroneous claim in her letter to me, dated 25 May 1998.
The PID was never responded to.
Mr Seeney, now in Opposition Government, has confirmed he referred the PID to the then Minister for Health, Mr L Springborg.
Mr Springborg, now the Leader of the opposition, is refusing to respond to my request to be informed of what became of the PID.
Likewise, the new Minister for Health, Mr C Dick, is refusing to respond to my enquiry regarding the PID.
Because this story is too long to put onto this website I have followed the advice of a very wise and helpful person; to create a website of my own. Thanks Robina!
